PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gray scale image processing method and device.SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of calculating the average value and the standard deviation of each edge pixel in need of processing in an original gray scale image, and determining prescribed noise variance of each edge pixel on the basis of the average value and the standard deviation; performing two-dimensional discrete cosine transform of the original gray scale image of a first adjacent area of each edge pixel; performing two-dimensional Wiener filtering of image data subjected to two-dimensional discrete cosine transform on the basis of the noise variance; performing two-dimensional inverse discrete cosine transform of the image data subjected to the two-dimensional Wiener filtering; acquiring a filtered gray scale image of the first adjacent area; and extracting a filtered pixel value of each edge pixel from the filtered gray scale image of the first adjacent area, calculating a weighted sum of the filtered pixel value of each edge pixel and an original pixel value of the edge pixel, and acquiring a processed pixel value of each edge pixel. |
