<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a focus detection error arising from a difference in a color of a color temperature of a light source or a subject to be sufficiently small, and to enable a use of auxiliary projection light using near infrared light used at low luminance.SOLUTION: The focus detection optical system of a phase difference detection method comprises: a separator mask that is arranged at the back of a scheduled image formation plane of a photographing lens, and has at least two pairs of opening pairs; a separator lens; and a photoelectric conversion element that has a predetermined sensor area arranged at the back of the separator lens. In a flux of light passing through a first opening pair, which is at least one pair of the opening pair out of the at least two pairs of the opening pairs, a first filter is provided that has a characteristic transmitting a flux of light of a predetermined first wavelength band, and in a flux of light passing through a second opening pair, which is at least one pair of the opening pair different from the at least one pair of the opening pair, a second filter is provided that has a characteristic transmitting a flux of light of a second wavelength band which includes a part of the first wavelength band and is narrower than the first wavelength band.</p> |
