<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet separation apparatus capable of transporting a sheet by individually separating regardless of the size of a sheet width and capable of suppressing abrasion of parts such as a separation pad.SOLUTION: A sheet separation apparatus 1 includes: a support part 9A; guides 60A, 60A for positioning a sheet SH in a width direction; a separation roller 42 for transporting the sheet SH; a separation pad 20 for individually separating the sheet SH in collaboration with the separation roller 42; a holder 21 for retaining the separation pad 20 in contactable-separable manner against the separation roller 42; and a pressure mechanism 100 for pressing the separation pad 20 toward the separation roller 42 with a pressing load F0. Between the guides 60A, 60B and the pressure mechanism 100, adjustment means 102 is provided for increasing the pressing load F0 in association with the guides 60A, 60B moving in a direction of increasing a distance between the guides and for decreasing the pressing load F0 in association with the guides 60A, 60B moving in a direction of shortening the distance between the guides.</p> |
