LOAD DETECTION METHOD AND LOAD DETECTION DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator system capable of detecting a load of an elevator car without using a scale device, in an elevator having a rotation amount detector installed at a governor capable of detecting speed of the elevator and a displacement amount of the elevator car and a governor rotation amount.SOLUTION: An elevator includes: an elevator car; a main rope for suspending the elevator car; a hoist for driving the elevator by winding up the main rope; a governor rope connected to the elevator car; a governor pulley for supporting and rotating the governor rope; and a rotation amount detector connected to the governor pulley and capable of detecting the rotation amount of the governor pulley. A descending amount of the elevator car which occurs as the main rope suspending the elevator car lengthens by a load in the elevator car is calculated by detecting from the rotation amount of the governor pulley.
