<p>The present invention relates to an active material for an infrared flare used in an infrared flare which radiates strong infrared rays during combustion in order to deceive an enemy weapon detector to detect and track a target of friendly forces using infrared rays. The active material for an infrared flare comprises: a flare body (10) in a propellant shape for a cannon assembled inside a case of an infrared flare assembly, radiates strong near-infrared rays and mid-infrared rays during combustion, includes nitrocellulose, nitroglycerin, and deithylene glycol dinitrate (DEGDN), and shows higher mid-infrared energy intensity than near-infrared energy intensity; an ignition agent (20) which includes boron (B), potassium perchlorate (KCIO_4), barium chromate (BaCroO_4), nitrocellulose (NC), and a polyester binder, shows higher mid-infrared energy intensity than near-infrared energy intensity, and is coated on the flare body; and a silicon sealing agent (30) which protects the ignition agent (20) by being coated on the flare body (10) at a fixed thickness (cm) after coating and drying the ignition agent (20) on the flare body (10), and exposes part of the ignition agent (20) on the top surface of the flare body (10).</p> |
