<p>The invention relates to a super-absorbent, which can be obtained by means of a method for producing super-absorbents by polymerizing a monomer solution that contains a) at least one ethylenically unsaturated acid-group-bearing monomer, which is optionally present at least partially as a salt, b) at least one cross-linking agent, c) at least one initiator, d) optionally one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers that can be copolymerized with the monomers mentioned under a), e) optionally one or more water-soluble polymers, wherein the method also comprises drying the obtained polymerizate, optionally grinding the dried polymerizate and sifting the ground polymerizate, and optionally surface post-crosslinking the dried and optionally ground and sifted polymerizate, wherein at least one sulfonic acid derivative is added to the monomer mixture and/or the polymer before the drying and at least one phosphonic acid derivative is added to the polymer after the drying or optionally after the surface post-crosslinking, which super-absorbent exhibits improved stability against discoloration when stored at elevated temperatures or elevated humidity.</p> |
