PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marine communication device for supporting marine broadband communication, and an operation method of the marine communication device.SOLUTION: A marine communication device for supporting marine broadband communication includes a ground direction connection module and a marine direction connection module. The ground direction connection module receives each of first state information about other marine communication devices from a plurality of other marine communication devices, and determines the single marine communication device from the plurality of other marine communication devices on the basis of each of the first state information so as to be connected to the determined other marine communication device. The marine direction connection module generates second state information about the marine communication devices in the plurality of other marine communication devices.
