A drying machine comprises: a heat pump device (41) in which a compressor (25), a radiator (23), an expander (42), and a thermal reservoir (22) are coupled by a pipe (24); an air channel (19) that introduces air into a drum (4); a blower (21); an air channel temperature detector (34) that detects the temperature of the air in the air channel (19); a heater (30) that heats the compressor (25); a compressor temperature detector (31); and a controller. After running the blower (21) before the compressor (25) starts, the controller controls heating of the compressor (25) by the heater (30) when the air temperature detected by the air channel temperature detector (34) is higher than the air temperature before the blower (21) was run. Thus, the drying performance when starting drying operations is improved. |
