<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system that has a displacement member and reduces the materials and arrangement places of a mechanical device required to determine displacement of a displacement member, and to provide a reader.SOLUTION: An image processing system comprises: a system body; a displacement member that is displaced to a first position and a second position with respect to the system body; a dielectric member that is provided at least in the system body or displacement member; a first detecting part that is provided in a place where the detecting part comes close to or comes into contact with the dielectric member when the displacement member is in the first position, and that supplies an output value corresponding to electrostatic capacity that changes according to a distance from the dielectric member; an image processing section; and a control section. The control section performs first image processing such that if the output value supplied by the first detecting part satisfies a first condition, the control section determines that the displacement member is in the first position and controls the image processing section, and if the output value supplied by the first detecting part does not satisfy the first condition, the control section determines that the displacement member is in the second position and controls the image processing section.</p> |
