<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize Ethernet communication at low cost using a two-core cable.SOLUTION: A two-core PHY processing unit 12 is provided for executing a physical layer (PHY) processing in the OSI reference model on the basis of a CSMA/CD method, to transmit/receive a MAC frame through a two-core cable. During the transmission of a MAC frame, the two-core PHY processing unit 12 compares a detection bit sequence, composed of a MAC frame bit sequence transmitted to the two-core cable, with a bit sequence of the transmitted MAC frame copied and retained before the transmission. According to a mismatch therebetween, the two-core PHY processing unit 12 detects the occurrence of collision between the MAC frame and a MAC frame transmitted from another communication node.</p> |
