PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determining method by which even discrimination information attached on a culture bag can be read, and to provide a culturing method and the like which can prevent a use of a culture bag except an original manufacturer's product.SOLUTION: A determining method of a culture bag 1 where a substance to be cultured cultures, in which discrimination information 9 recorded as a hologram is attached on a part of the culture bag 1 includes the steps of: acquiring the discrimination information 9 by irradiating at least a part of the hologram with regeneration illumination light from an angle defined previously, and receiving regeneration light generated from the hologram; and determining whether the culture bag 1 is the original manufacturer's product or not, on the basis of the acquired discrimination information.
