According to the present invention, a method comprising reacting a fluoroalkyl iodide with ethylene to prepare an ethylene adduct, and reacting the ethylene adduct with an alkali metal hydroxide in the presence of a lower alcohol to prepare an olefin compound by dehydroiodination makes it possible to collect an alkali metal iodide. Further, solid iodine can be collected by subjecting the alkali metal iodide to an iodine formation treatment to separate the iodine. Therefore, according to the present invention, telomers that have an unnecessary chain length formed when a fluoroalkyl iodide is produced by a telomerization reaction can be effectively reused without requiring any complicated separation procedure or the like, and without adversely affecting equipment. |
