PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a test piece for suppressing variation to be generated when a compaction molding state is reproduced.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a test piece comprises: a material drying step (STEP10) of drying materials of a banking material to less than 1% of moisture content; a banking material manufacturing step (STEP20) of manufacturing the banking material while adjusting the moisture content by adding water to the materials of the banking material dried to less than 1% of the moisture content; a pretreatment step (STEP30) of reproducing a lower capping layer by putting a covering material to the bottom in a bottomed-cylindrical mold, and tightening and fixing the covering material; a compaction molding step (STEP40) of laminating a plurality of layers of baking materials manufactured by the banking material manufacturing step on the reproduced lower capping layer, and reproducing a plurality of layers of compaction molds by compressing the banking materials; and a post-treatment step (STEP50) of reproducing an upper capping layer by putting the covering material on the reproduced compaction molds, and tightening and fixing the covering material, closing a lid of an upper part of the reproduced upper capping layer with a lid closing member, and pressing the lid closing member to the mold by a pressing member.
