PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce harmonic noise in particular while reducing a leakage electromagnetic field in non-contact power transmission.SOLUTION: A power transmission device 200 includes a power supply device 210, a power transmission unit 220, and a power transmission ECU 240. The power transmission unit 220 includes: a power transmission coil; and a magnetic material which accommodates the power transmission coil inside and has an opening on the side opposite to a power reception unit 110. The power supply device 210 generates AC voltage in a square wave to supply it to the power transmission unit 220. The power transmission ECU 240 controls the power transmission unit 220 so that the AC voltage is equal to zero or substantially zero in only fixed duration in one period (for example, 1/3 or 1/4 of the period).
