The present invention relates to a receiving device which, in a hybrid-type broadcast, is capable of providing an application program to be run simultaneously with AV content, and also relates to a receiving method, transmission device, transmission method, and program. A control information acquisition unit acquires continuation range information for specifying the range on the time axis during which the application program which runs simultaneously with AC content can continue operation, and an application control unit ends the running application program on the basis of the continuation range information. This invention may be applied to television receivers which receive a digital television broadcast signal. |
