PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve acceleration response at a time of engine restart in a state in which a vehicle is traveling.SOLUTION: If an engine restart request is issued while an engine stops and a primary shaft rotates, a change gear ratio is shifted down to a low speed stage side when a difference between a turbine rotational speed Nt and a primary rotational speed Np is equal to a kick-down determination value &Dgr;A. When the difference between the turbine rotational speed Nt and the primary rotational speed Np is equal to an engagement determination value &Dgr;B, an input clutch is engaged. If a kick-down control is exerted prior to engagement of the input clutch, it is possible to improve acceleration response at a time of the engine restart. |
