PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide amorphous and/or at least partially crystalline, glass-based joining material which is suitable particularly for high-temperature applications, and uses of the same in fuel cells and/or sensors.SOLUTION: In addition to SiOand BOas glass formers, the joining material contains BaO and CaO and has a coefficient of thermal expansion of at least 7 10Kin a range of 20°C to 300°C, with the content of AlOlimited. The joining material can be used for joining ferritic high-grade steels and/or chromium-containing alloys and/or ceramics, such as stabilized zirconium oxide and/or aluminium oxide. |
