<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for measurement of a building structure without doing dangerous work such as high-place work, and furthermore compatible with a roof and a building structure having an isosceles trapezoid shape by using correction processing for dissolving perspective strain.SOLUTION: An apparatus for finding dimensions of a building structure comprises: image pick-up means 2 having a predetermined focal length; means for holding the image pick-up means 2 in high altitude corresponding to a height of the building structure; means for displaying an isosceles trapezoid shape of the building structure photographed by the image pick-up means 2; means for specifying four vertexes of the displayed isosceles trapezoid shape, and finding the coordinates; means for specifying a distance of point-to-point on a plane including the isosceles trapezoid shape, or a distance from the image pick-up means to a point on the plane; means for finding the shape of the building structure from the coordinates of four vertexes and the focal length; and means for finding the size of the building structure by the distance of the point-to-point on the plane or the distance from the image pick-up means to a point on the plane.</p> |
