<p>The present invention relates to a method for transmitting a digital broadcast signal including: a process for multiplexing sub-data including video data, audio data, an event information table (EIT), and a program map table (PMT) into an MPEG-2 transport stream; and a process for modulating the multiplexed MPEG-2 transport stream into a broadcast signal and transmitting the broadcast signal. The EIT or the PMT includes a caption descriptor including caption information indicating whether the caption data is data for supplying a digital closed caption service according to an electronic industry association (EIA)-708 or data for supplying an analog closed caption service.</p> |
