PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of detecting flickers.SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: an image sensor that converts light into an electric signal, and outputs it; an exposure control unit that variably controls an exposure period in the image sensor using an electronic shutter; and a flicker detection unit that detects flickers on the basis of a change in an output signal of the image sensor when the speed of the electronic shutter is changed from a relatively higher direction to a lower direction.
