摘要 On-screen display techniques and configurations for audiovisual content input selection and indications in a television, monitor, receiver, or other electronic display device are described herein. An on-screen user interface of a display device may be enhanced with on-screen indications that indicate the position of the respective audiovisual content. For example, a user interface may provide an arrow in the lower-left portion of the screen to correspond to audiovisual input obtained from a device connected to the lower-left portion of the display device housing. A listing of input sources arranged by position relative to the display device and appropriate previews of the audiovisual content from the sources may also be incorporated into the user interface. In further examples, determined labels and human-readable identifiers for the respective input sources may be coordinated with the listing of input sources arranged by position.

A display device, comprising: multiple input receptacles configured to receive audiovisual content from respective sources via connections with the respective sources; a display output configured to output audiovisual content to a display screen, the audiovisual content received in a selected input receptacle from the multiple input receptacles; a processor; and a memory including instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to generate a user interface for output via the display output, wherein the user interface is configured to present an interactive on-screen display on the display output for selection of the selected input receptacle from the multiple input receptacles, wherein the on-screen display is arranged to provide indications of the multiple input receptacles within the on-screen display, wherein the indications of the multiple input receptacles have positions in the on-screen display that correspond to physical locations of the multiple input receptacles on the display device, and wherein the indications of the multiple input receptacles are configured to receive the selection of the selected input receptacle.
