A self-propelled electronic machine (20) comprises: a case (30); a movement driving unit (61) that moves the case (30); an imaging unit (40) that captures images; a communication unit (22) that receives, from a communication terminal device (10), instructional information for controlling operation of a device to be controlled and transmits images captured by the imaging unit (40) to the communication terminal device (10); and a control signal transmitting unit (36) that transmits a control signal for the device to be controlled that corresponds to the received instructional information. The imaging unit (40) and the control signal transmitting unit (36) are disposed in the vicinity of an external face of the case (30) so that the spatial region captured by the imaging unit (40) overlaps with the emission region of the control signal transmitted by the control signal transmitting unit (36).
