<p>Disclosed is a high power LED lighting device including an LED drive IC and a power factor compensation unit. The LED lighting device including the high power LED driving circuit comprises: a rectifying unit which rectifies an AC voltage, smooths the rectified voltage, and generates and outputs a first rectified voltage; a power factor compensation unit which receives the first rectified voltage outputted from the rectifying unit, steps up or steps down the received first rectified voltage and generates and outputs a driving voltage that is pulsed at a first threshold voltage or higher; an LED illumination unit including a first illumination group to an m^th illumination group made up of at least one LED (where m is a positive integer equal to or greater than two), wherein the LED illumination unit receives the driving voltage inputted from the power factor compensation unit and is sequentially driven; and an LED drive IC which receives the driving voltage inputted from the power factor compensation unit, determines a voltage level of the driving voltage, and controls the sequential driving of the first illumination group to the m^th illumination group according to the determined voltage level of the driving voltage.</p> |
