This device for processing information through line-of-sight detection is provided with a search request determination unit (11) for determining whether a search request has been made by a user; a coordinate calculation unit (12) for calculating the map coordinates of an object in the user's line of sight, which is made to be a search subject, on the basis of at least the current position of a moving body and recognition of the line of sight of the user; a superimposed display control unit (16) for superimposing and displaying a search mark for highlighting the search subject on an HUD (18) on the basis of the coordinates of the search subject and map data; a search processing unit (13) for searching for detailed information about the search subject on the basis of the coordinates of the search subject and the map data; and an output information generation unit (15) for generating output information for presenting detailed information about the search subject to the user. As a result, the search subject can be simply identified and displayed on the HUD through the detection of the line of sight of the user in a vehicle or other moving body, and it is therefore possible to effectively present detailed information about the search subject to the user. |
