PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device capable of controlling an initial development direction of a bag body to a direction where does not go upward of a driver seat from a steering wheel without increasing development resistance of the bag body and production cost.SOLUTION: A retainer 22 for attaching an inflator 31 to a steering wheel 12 comprises: a side part wall 22b which has an arc shape in cross section for covering an outside of an outer peripheral face of an approximately upper half part of the inflator 31; and an end part wall 22c for covering an outside of an end face on a driver seat side of the inflator 31 and being disposed continuously to a tip end part of the side part wall 22b. Gas flow directly injected from a gas injection hole 41 on the inflator 31 to an upper side is regulated by the side part wall 22b of the retainer 22. |
