PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cytotoxic anti-LAG-3 monoclonal antibody and its use in the treatment or prevention of organ transplant rejection and autoimmune disease.SOLUTION: The present invention concerns a molecule binding to LAG-3 protein and causing depletion of LAG-3activated T cells. Particularly the molecule is a cytotoxic anti-LAG-3 monoclonal antibody or a fragment thereof. It also concerns a method of treating or preventing organ transplant rejection or autoimmune diseases in a mammal comprising administering to the mammal a therapeutically effective amount of the antibody.
