PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte fuel cell capable of improving the power generation performance.SOLUTION: A polymer electrolyte fuel cell includes: an electrolyte film (1) which has a reinforcement film (5) constituted of a nonwoven fabric; and a cathode side separator (4b) which has a rib (7) partitioning flow passes (6) neighboring to each other. The reinforcement film (5) includes: an area having a larger mass per unit area; and an area having a smaller mass per unit area. The areas (5a, 5c, 9) having smaller mass are formed at the position corresponding to the rib (7). |
