<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of accurately cutting off a workpiece at a low cost and in a short time.SOLUTION: A cutting apparatus 1 which cuts off a workpiece W comprises: a nibbler 30 which continuously punches out the workpiece W; a robot 20 to which the nibbler 30 is attached; and a controller 40 which controls the robot 20. The nibbler 30 comprises: a cylindrical case 31; a punch 32 which has a punch blade 32a for punching out the workpiece W and is housed inside the case 31 to make reciprocating motion in vertical directions; and a die 34 provided below the case 31. The punch blade 32a has a circular arc cross-sectional shape and is formed such that a central angleθa at the center C of a circle of curvature along the cross-sectional shape is larger than 180° and smaller than 360°. The controller 40 controls the robot 20 such that the nibbler 30 continuously punches out the workpiece W laid between the case 31 and the die 34 while moving along a predetermined path in the state of maintaining its posture.</p> |
