At least one of the first body portion and the second body portion define an internal cavity. The chewable pet-entertainment device includes a timer mechanism disposed in at least one of the first body portion and the second body portion. Responsive to the timer mechanism measuring a set period of time, the first body portion opens relative to the second body portion allowing access to the internal cavity.

1. A chewable pet-entertainment device comprising:
a first body portion; a second body portion operatively coupled to the first body portion, at least one of the first body portion and the second body portion defining an internal cavity; a latch that removably secures the first body portion to the second body portion, wherein, responsive to expiration of a set period of time, the latch allows the first body portion to open relative to the second body portion allowing access to the internal cavity.
