摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that enables reduction of false focus.SOLUTION: An imaging device 1 according to the present invention comprises: a focus detection part 13 that detects a focus state of a subject image via a focus lens L by a phase difference method; a focus detection value computation part 16A that computes a focus detection value on the basis of a detection result of the focus detection part 13; a focus adjustment control part 16B that performs a focus adjustment control of the focus lens L on the basis of the focus detection value; a finder imaging part 15 that images an optical finder image of the subject image; a first determination part 16C that determines whether or not a subject is likely to be a periodic subject from the detection result of the focus detection part 13; and a second determination part 16D that determines whether or not the subject is likely to be the periodic subject from an imaging result by the finder imaging part 15. When the first determination part 16C determines that the subject is the periodic subject and the second determination part 16D determines that the subject is not the periodic subject, the focus adjustment control part 16B performs the focus adjustment, using a focus detection value different from the current first focus detection value.
