An automatic switching system with a heat-ray sensor (30) having an automatic switch (10) and a slave operation device (20), said automatic switch being equipped with a heat-ray sensor unit (1), a first input determining unit (2), a signal reception unit (3) for receiving a transmit signal from the slave operation device (20), a control unit (4) for controlling the turning on/off of an illumination load (42) on the basis of the heat-ray sensor unit (1), the first input determining unit (2), and the signal reception unit (3), and a switch (5) for connecting/disconnecting the illumination load (42)on the basis of a control signal from the control unit (4), and said slave operation device being equipped with a second input determining unit (22) and a signal transmission unit (23) which transmits the transmit signal on the basis of an operation signal from the second input determining unit (22), wherein when the transmit signal from the slave operation device (20) is received by the signal reception unit (3) while the illumination load (42) is in an on-state, the control unit (4) performs control so as to either reduce a lighting retention time or turn the switch (5) off. |
