An interface, at least one camera, spectrum filter wheel, one or more spectrum emitters and a shroud configured to read card improper markings. The interface is a computer tablet (e.g., iPad). The one or more spectrum emitters/variable light spectrum illuminators transmit light at frequencies/wavelengths which is reflected off card backs through the one or more spectrum filters causing invisible markings to become visible. The cameras transmit static images of the card backs, taken through the spectral filters, and any visible markings to the user via a user interface display. The spectrum filter is a wheel with a plurality of segments each comprising a unique spectrum filter configured to filter a corresponding wavelength of light emitted by the one or more emitters/variable light spectrum illuminators. An opaque shroud restricts ambient light thereby increasing the effectiveness of the mobile device to read markings on the subject cards. |
