PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus and a map drawing method that can improve the unnaturalness of expression in drawing background data composed of a polygon.SOLUTION: A navigation apparatus comprises: a map data memory device 3 that acquires map data necessary for drawing a background object composed of a polygon and other objects; a map buffer 10; a map drawing unit 14 that generates on the basis of the map data and stores into a frame memory 52 image information corresponding to the background object and other objects; and a display processor 40 that reads out the image information stored in the frame memory 52 and displays a map image on a display device. The map drawing unit 14 performs gradation processing when generating the image information corresponding to the background object. |
