WOODEN PALLET WITH NAIL PLATES AND RELATED METHODS A pallet (10) comprises a cargo layer (30); a base layer (20) comprising a pair of spaced apart connector boards (32), and a pair of spaced apart end deck boards (34) orthogonal to said pair of connector boards, with respective ends of said pair of end deck boards adjacent to respective ends of said pair of connector boards; a plurality of spaced apart support blocks (40) between said cargo layer and said base layer and forming a gap therebetween, each support block having parallel upper and lower surfaces, with the upper and lower surfaces being aligned with one another; and a respective nail plate (50,52) between each end of said pair of connector boards and a support block, while being devoid of a respective nail plate between each end of said pair of end deck boards and said support block so that each end of said pair of end deck boards is in direct contact with a respective support block. |
