<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for a printer using print service, having a mechanism for downloading firmware for properly using the print service to the printer.SOLUTION: When information on an image forming apparatus 110 is registered on a print service device 130, or when the information on the image forming apparatus 110 registered on the print service device 130 is updated, a printing system 1000 determines whether firmware installed in the image forming apparatus 110 corresponds to the print service device 130. When the determination is negative, the printing system determines whether firmware corresponding to the print service device 130 is included in the firmware of the image forming apparatus 110 distributed by a distribution server 140. When the determination is affirmative, the distributed firmware is installed in response to the target firmware distributed from the distribution server 140 to the image forming apparatus 110.</p> |
