<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash tank capable of reducing disruption and turbulence in black liquor flowing into the flash tank.SOLUTION: A flash tank 10 includes: an interior chamber having an interior surface 22 formed by a sidewall of the flash tank 10; a vapor exhaust port 33 coupled to an upper portion of the chamber; a liquid discharge port 31 coupled to a lower portion of the chamber; an insert inlet tube 34 having an insert outlet and inserted into an inlet port of the chamber. The insert inlet tube 34 extends to the inside of the sidewall, and the insert outlet 31 has an elongated cross-sectional shape oriented substantially parallel to a center vertical axis of the flash tank 10 and substantially perpendicularly to a radial line of the flash tank 10, so that the insert outlet 31 is substantially tangential to the sidewall.</p> |
