Furthermore, the organic light-emitting diode (10) comprises a protective diode (4) designed for protection against damage from electrostatic discharges. The protective diode (4) is mounted on the carrier substrate (1) and is situated at the same main side (11) of the carrier substrate (1) as the organic layer sequence (3).
