The present invention relates to a water purification cartridge wherein a slim and flat water purification cartridge is manufactured by forming an ion exchange resin and a hollow fiber membrane bundle and the flat and compact pad-shaped water purification cartridge is combined with the bottom of a water purification vessel not to be required to be assembled and disassembled during use and to be able to be folded together with the water purification vessel and stored in a small volume; and to a portable water purifier using the same. The water purification cartridge comprises a pad-shaped body having a raw water inlet hole for introducing raw water and having a water purification space for accommodating raw water inside; and a filter part including an activated carbon member mounted in the water purification space and arranged below the raw water inlet hole to filter the raw water introduced from the raw water inlet hole, an ion exchange resin member arranged to be adjacent to the activated carbon part to purify the raw water that has gone through the activated carbon member, and a filter part formed at one side of the ion exchange resin member to filter the treated water that has gone through the ion exchange resin member, and to discharge the treated water to the outside.
