PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of generating information on attributes of characters included in an image so that the information can be used by another apparatus.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus separates a character shape part, having a character attribute, of an image to be processed into a plurality of groups 61 to 75 on the basis of image data 50 of the image to be processed, and gives each of the separated groups 61 to 75 code information which is different from that of the other groups. Information on character shape part of each of the groups 61 to 75 is registered as font information by being associated with the code information given to each of the groups 61 to 75 corresponding. A file, including information for generating an image which corresponds to the image to be processed, is generated on the basis of the image data 50 and the font information. The file includes: position information showing positions of the groups 61 to 75 inside the image data 50; and the code information of the groups 61 to 75, embedded. |
