PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device capable of increasing the service life of a secondary battery or the optical device.SOLUTION: The optical device has a biasing means that gives a bias to at least one temple so that at least one temple of a pair of temples on a hinge has a predetermined angle position corresponding to an unused state of the optical device. A power supply device includes: a secondary battery; a power switch; a power switch control section; and a usage state detection section that detects whether a user uses the optical device. The usage state detection section has a biasing force detection section that detects the unused state based on a biasing force of the biasing means, which acts on the temple. A power switch control section controls the power switch to turn OFF when the biasing force detection section detects the unused state.
