PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a larger deviation angle or misalignment between an axial core of a drive shaft and an axial core of a driven shaft.SOLUTION: The tripod type constant velocity joint couples a drive shaft 21 and a driven shaft 22, transmits rotation of the drive shaft 21 by restraining variation of a rotation speed of the driven shaft 22 generated when an angle between an axial core of the drive shaft 21 and an axial core of the driven shaft 22 is not 180° or when misalignment occurs, and comprises: a pair of outer rings 31, 36 respectively connected to the drive shaft 21 and the driven shaft 22; and a tripod member 40 coupling the outer rings. Three track grooves 32, 37 extending in an axial direction on inner peripheries of the outer rings 31, 36 are formed in a circumferential direction at an interval of 120°. Three projection parts 42, 47 that are housed in the respective track grooves 32, 37 slidably in an axial direction so that torque can be transmitted are provided at both axial ends of the tripod member 40. |
