PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate data backup, increase the number of free blocks in a backup destination nonvolatile memory, and reduce a write volume.SOLUTION: A host apparatus comprises: a first control unit reading data from a first logical address area of a first storage unit; a second control unit determining whether read data corresponding to the first logical address area is the same as data represented by a first function; a third control unit writing the read data to a second logical address area of a nonvolatile second memory of a second storage unit if the read data is not the same as the data represented by the first function; and a fourth control unit making a deletion notification for designating data in the second logical address area of the second memory of the second storage unit if the read data is the same as the data represented by the first function.
