A vehicular air conditioning apparatus 400 includes a casing 402 constituted by respective air passages. The casing 402 has a vent opening 492 and a defroster opening 524 at an upper portion thereof. The vent opening 492 is disposed on a forward side of a vehicle with respect to the defroster opening 524. A pair of defroster ducts 550 extend in lateral directions respectively from side portions 534 of the defroster opening 524, and center vent ducts 546 are disposed in a straight line fashion from the vent opening 492 and oriented rearwardly of the vehicle between the pair of the defroster ducts 550. The center vent ducts 546 open only in the vehicle compartment. In a bi-level mode, a third front passage 484 on the downstream side of the evaporator 408 extends upwardly in a straight line fashion. |
