A control device that controls the driving of a display device which changes display states by a rewriting operation of applying a driving voltage several times, wherein the control device includes a decision portion that decides whether or not the rewriting operation is performed for each pixel; and a control portion that applies the driving voltage several times in a pattern, in which the driving voltages of each time are determined depending on the display states before and after the rewriting, to the pixel decided when performing the rewriting operation by the decision portion and starts the rewriting operation, wherein, in a case where a previous rewriting operation is not performed on the pixel decided when performing the rewriting operation by the decision portion, the control portion starts the rewriting operation, and in a case where the previous operation is performed on the pixel, the control portion starts the next rewriting operation after the previous rewriting operation is finished. |
