<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loop heat pipe capable of further stable liquid transport. <P>SOLUTION: This loop heat pipe includes an evaporator 101 for evaporating working fluid by absorbing heat from the outside. In the loop heat pipe for condensing the working fluid guided from the evaporator 101 to be recirculated to the evaporator 101 as a working fluid in a liquid phase, the evaporator 101 includes: an evaporator body 103 for evaporating the working fluid by transmitting heat from the outside to the working fluid; a liquid reservoir part 111 connected to an end of the evaporator body 103 for accumulating the working fluid in the liquid phase in the inside; a wick 119 existing from the inside of the liquid reservoir part 111 to the inside of the evaporator body 103 for circulating the working fluid by generating capillary force; and a liquid groove 121 formed in the wick 119 for guiding the working fluid in the liquid phase in a direction intersecting with the axial direction of the wick 119 using surface tension of the working fluid in the liquid phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
