PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw inspection method capable of highly accurately inspecting a cast stick with a circular cross section using a longitudinal wave as an incident wave. SOLUTION: At least one of phased array probes 1 and 2 is disposed near a template outlet of horizontal continuous casting, and continuously-casted sticks S with the circular cross section that are continuously casted, are inspected by an ultrasonic flaw inspection using a longitudinal inclined angle wave and a longitudinal vertical wave, with water 14 used as a contact medium.
