A data string is extracted from the illustration and an encoded representation of the data string is displayed in the reserved area. The encoded representation of the data string forms the human-understandable content when encoded into a two-dimensional barcode (e.g. a QR code). Examples of human-understandable content which may be embedded into a 2D barcode are an image, picture, illustration, logo, alphanumeric character or word. The human-comprehensible material may be in the form of bitmap data. The barcode may be displayed on a dynamic display of an electronic device. |
