PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a stress in an outer edge portion of an iron core part between same pole magnet slots and in the vicinities of the bottom sides of the magnet slots. SOLUTION: Each magnetic pole of the rotor (10) of an embedded magnet type motor is formed of two rows of same pole magnets (M1, M2), and an iron core part (12) between the same pole magnet slots is arranged between magnet slots (31, 32) where the two rows of magnets are arranged. Among sides composing the magnet slots, a part where sides (31a, 31b) on the inner side in a radial direction and the outer edge portion of the iron core part between the same pole magnet slots are connected, has curved portions (41, 42) connected to curves with large curvature from curves with small curvature in accordance with facing from the sides on the inner side in the radial direction toward the outer edge portion of the iron core part between the same pole magnet slots.
