The present invention relates to a device and a method for separating an image based on keyword recognition. For this purpose, the present invention stores a plurality of objects and object feature information of the objects in corresponding with each other, displays an image to be separated when a separation of the object from the image is requested, extracts a specific keyword by performing a voice recognition of inputted voice data when the voice data is inputted and searches the object feature information associated with the extracted keyword, and separates the object from the image by using the searched object feature information, thereby allowing a user to conveniently separate the object from the image through a voice.
