PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil film testing paper capable of simply and correctly determining the presence or absence of an oil film by visual observation even if the small amount and the small degree of oil films exist. SOLUTION: (1) The oil film testing paper includes composite particles comprising particles (carriers) which are precipitated in water by absorbing moisture when put into water, and oil-soluble coloring agent particles within a predetermined range from one end of a support, also includes a predetermined length sheet-like article made of a hydrophobic and lipophilic raw material following the predetermined range, and uses the range from the end of the sheet-like article to the other end of the support as a holding part when the oil film testing paper is held and immersed into water.
